How to play Air Hockey
Take a moment with Air Hockey before moving to another game. Score seven goals before the computer. Use the example below to understand a decision. Read the objective before making your first input. Look at what changes after your first action.
Move your paddle against a computer opponent and score through the opposite goal.
Build a steady rhythm
Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Use the example to check your reasoning.
Your goal
Score seven goals before the computer. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Review the board or playing area as it changes.
Step by step
- Start.
- Move your mallet within the lower half.
- Strike toward the upper goal.
- Goals reset the puck.
Controls
Mouse/touch movement or Left/Right controls. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Use one clear input at a time.
A useful example
An angled hit can bank off a side wall. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Consider the next action carefully.
Watch out for this
You cannot move into the computer’s half. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
