How to play Samurai Sudoku

Make Samurai Sudoku your next activity in the game library. Complete five overlapping Sudoku boards. Every shared cell must satisfy both boards that use it. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Check the rule that explains your first action. Look at what changes after your first action.

A careful first round

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Complete five overlapping Sudoku boards. Every shared cell must satisfy both boards that use it. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Review the board or playing area as it changes.

Step by step

1. Select an editable cell.
2. Enter a value using the keypad or keyboard; Notes stores candidates.
3. Read the region, cage, arrow or outside clues alongside the normal constraints.
4. Check entries verifies the completed board; Undo reverses your last input.
5. New puzzle selects another included puzzle.

Controls

Click or tap cells and the digit pad. Use Notes, Undo and Reveal selected. Large boards scroll inside the game. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.

A useful example

One value entered in an overlap serves two boards, so check the corresponding rows, columns and boxes of both. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Choose a deliberate next step.

Watch out for this

A full board must obey every extra rule. Reveal supplies assistance; it is not an earned deduction. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
