How to play Sequence Memory

Start Sequence Memory by looking at the playing area and its controls. Repeat every shown position in order. A wrong position ends the current session. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Review a difficult moment

When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round. Make the next step deliberately.

Your goal

Repeat every shown position in order. A wrong position ends the current session. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. The example below illustrates a decision.

Step by step

  1. Choose Start again to begin.
  2. Watch each highlighted pad without clicking.
  3. When the game says Your turn, tap the pads in the same order.
  4. A correct sequence leads to a longer round.

Controls

Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.

A useful example

For a sequence 2, 7, 2, tap pad 2, then 7, then 2 again. Repeated positions still count. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Keep the controls nearby.

Watch out for this

The task is to remember order, not just which pads appeared. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
